What are Morning Tubs / Bins?
Morning Bins provide a hands-on option to morning work and can turn those busy, hectic mornings into meaningful and independent practice! Morning Bins are the perfect way to wake up those little minds. They can also be used for extra practice or early finishers!
No grading, no pressure, just fun and engaging practice!

Each monthly theme will include 21 skills. The monthly skills stay the same throughout the months, but the activities change to provide students with more challenging activities. For the January Morning Bins there are:

⭐Skills included in the Morning Bins:⭐
- Vocabulary- Build vocabulary word with magnetic letters then match picture to the word
- Sounds- Say the word, listen for the sound that the oo makes and sort the word into the correct mat
- Segment and Blend- Say the word and decide if it ends with ch or tch
- Sight Words- Read the sight words and the use the keyboard to spell them
- Sequence- Read words and write them in alphabetical order on the mat
- Sentences- Decide which three are favorites and complete sentence by writing them on the line
- Grammar- Spin spinner, read the words and find the contraction that matches
- Writing- Flip a subject and predicate card then write the silly sentence
- Rhymes, Syllables and Compound Words- Read word and write three others that rhyme
- Text- Read main idea, two supporting details and write another one
- Count Sequence- Look at missing numbers on hundred chart write them in boxes
- Comparing Numbers and Making Groups- Flip three cards, add the numbers, and compare the sums
- Representing Numbers- Flip and read a number word card then find the number on the chart and cover it
- Base 10- Flip card and complete 10 less, 1 less, 1 more. and 10 more
- Fluency- Flip card, add or subtract and sort card into jar with answer
- Addition and Subtraction- Look at hops on number line and clip the addition or subtraction equation that matches
- Measurement and Data- Use snap cubes and paper clips to measure items
- Geometry- Use shape blocks to build shapes in multiple ways then count number of shapes used for each way
- Time and Money- Spin spinner and write time on analog and digital clocks
- Patterns and Fractions- Pick a flower, look at shaded area decide if it matches fraction and sort card
- Social/Emotional: Regulating Myself and Relating to Others- Read problem and solutions then clip best choice
